Goddess Varahi is a prominent figure in Hinduism, one of the Matrikas or a group of seven or eight mother goddesses, who is depicted with the head of a sow. She is the shakti (feminine energy) of Vishnu's boar avatar, Lord Varaha, and is also considered a form of Bhu Devi (the Earth goddess) or Goddess Mahalakshmi.
